without references to other painting…( Tony Spiteris
AICA) ‘Vibrating surfaces, dialogues between
colour and space, give rich poetic images to his
paintings’…(Chrysanthos Christou, Art Historian) As a
‘dialogue with the surface’, Joachim explores abstract
concepts with economy of means, but in later paintings,
the language becomes even more poetic and symbolic;
related to nature and most importantly, the human
figure. The dialogue between figures and their
environment, eliminating forms to their basic symbolic
representation, expresses joy and freedom in poetic
compositions.
